Oh My Good-Golly-Gosh!!! It's finally in!! It's finally in!! After waiting... literally... months, I finally got my hands on the Tim Holtz Stamp Press by Tonic. Everyone knows that I love Tim Holtz Products including his Distress Inks, Oxides, Crayons, Stamps and Dies, but this just takes the cake

I love stamping and use it in a lot of the cards I make and my scrapbooks. Precision Stamp Presses have always been overly expensive and out of reach for me. I bought the MISTI but it was a little small and I really only used it for my cards. This one has a nice big platform and two open sides that make it more accessible for larger work! Eeeeeh! Love it!

The stamping platform itself measures 8-1/2" by 8-1/2", features a grid pattern on the top that's perfect for lining up stamps and two super strong magnets (see further down for magnet recommendation).

The top of the platform comes off and is reversible. This was designed to fit the thin acrylic stamps or the larger rubber cling stamps! It also makes cleaning it a breeze!

The press comes with two super strong magnets that help hold your work down to the magnetic platform underneath. These are perfect for large and small projects that you don't want to move when stamping.

The one issue with these magnets is they like to stick together... sooooooo a quick fix for this is to tape a "handle" to them with washi tape or electrical tape like I've used above. They work great still as magnets but now they are easier to handle.

Now to actually try it! I'm using the Ellie the Elephant stamp by Avery Elle and Tim Holtz Distress Oxide: Faded Jeans.

Attach your cling stamp to the appropriate side of the platform top and use the magnets to hold down your paper.

Ink it up!

And finally stamp it! If you don't get a clear stamp the first time, don't worry! Just re-ink and stamp it again. Provided you didn't move your paper, it should stamp cleanly over the first stamp.

And there you have it! An A+ for Tim Holtz on his awesome new product! I can't wait to see what he comes up with next! Be sure to leave comments or send me an email if this tutorial helped you at all. Feel free to send me questions and pictures of your finished projects!
