Washi Tape Note Card (Silhouette Day #2)

I'm totally in love with simple cards! I love how quick and easy they are and how elegant they can still look without putting a lot of money and time into it. So, if you are like me and a massive procrastinator this is the type of card you will love. I'm using my Silhouette Cameo to make the card base, but you can use any card base you would like.

Silhouette Studio comes with tons of free templates including this great card and envelope cut out. I altered this one slightly but it does take a full 12" x 12" paper.

Next, fold up the card and envelope.

Pick two coordinating colors of Washi Tape and run them side by side across your card. Don't worry if there is overhang at this point. It makes it easier to work with if there is.

Next, start by running a piece of tape across the opposite corner. Then carefully peel back one of the first two layers to create an over under weave pattern.

Repeat the process with the other role of tape.

Layer them with the same weave pattern. See the next picture for the final look.

Your card should look something like this.

Trim off the excess tape.

All done! Be sure to leave comments or send me an email if this tutorial helped you at all. Feel free to send me questions and pictures of your finished projects! Instructions Written By: Mack All rights reserved
